How to Produce a Quick Business Plan

Do not let creating the business plan for your company stress you out. You can produce a business plan very fast and one that is top of the line if you use the following procedure.

1. Create an Outline
Write the names of the ten areas of the business plan and outline each of them: Executive Summary, Company Analysis, Industry analysis, Customer Analysis, Competitive Analysis, Marketing Plan, Operations Plan, Management Team, Financial Plan and Appendix.

Outline the executive summary, which is the first area your investors will see. Therefore, you have to show the need for your product. Talk about how unique your product or service is and how your particular market has a good future. Put a spotlight on the experience that your management team has and talk about financial possibilities that are based on reality.

Now make a few subheadings in each area that address elements that will be in these areas. If you have to, write the subheadings in question form.

Complete all sections as much as you can.

2. Brainstorm with Your Executive Team
If you are the only person on your executive team, you still have to do this. It does not matter if you are by yourself or with an executive team, utilize this outline you produced in the first step to brainstorm every possible bit of info for your business plan.

When you brainstorm, write down more than is actually needed. There isn’t any information that can be wrong. The more information the better. You will take out any duplicate info later. Just keep thinking about information and put everything down that comes to your mind. Fill out the outline.

3. Buy Industry Market Research Reports
This is a very important part if your business plan has a possibility of appealing to a smart investor. Yes, you can do your own online research, but it would be better if you hire a market research firm to do it for you. They will look around and get all of the needed information for your niche. You will get what you pay for so look for a pro to get information for your business plan.

4. Create a Schedule and Stick with It

From here on out, you can finish your business plan in about five days of less. Put aside eight hours a day and plan to finish one area every four or five hours. Take hour breaks in between. You can finish the Industry Analysis and Customer Analysis areas in one four hour time period. The Appendix can be done as you go along.
